How Everyday Moments Reveal Jesus' Love

How Everyday Moments Reveal Jesus' Love

Sometimes, when I’m sipping my morning coffee, folding laundry, or simply pausing for a quiet moment, I notice little things that whisper, God is near. It’s not a dramatic flash of light or a choir singing from the heavens. It’s quiet, subtle, and perfectly designed.

Romans 1:20 reminds us: “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made.” Everything around us testifies to Him. If we slow down, we begin to see it—not just as beauty, but as evidence of a God who is near, attentive, and loving. Psalm 19:1 also says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”

What a Child Can Teach Us About God

The other day I watched a group of children playing. They remembered each other’s names, cared for one another, and ran to be held or included. Their laughter, curiosity, and vulnerability mirrored the way God created us to live in relationship.

When a child longs to be held, you see a reflection of God’s heart for us. He made us to crave connection, and He meets that need first. We don’t have to earn His love; it is freely given, just like the embrace a child seeks when they feel safe.

This is the gospel in miniature. God sees you, knows you, and loves you with a steadfast, unfailing love—even when you’re messy, confused, or unsure (1 John 3:1). And because Jesus came, lived, died, and rose again, we are freed from sin and death (Romans 6:23). That freedom changes everything: we can notice Him without fear, knowing He is good, near, and already at work in our lives. Until the day He returns, creation continues to whisper His presence, inviting us to watch, reflect, and see.

If you’re just beginning to learn about Jesus, these ordinary moments can be your first glimpse into who He is. God is not distant. He is active. He is present. And He wants a relationship with you—right here, right now.

God in the Everyday

It’s not just children. It’s a dog who greets you with unwavering excitement every time you walk in the door. It’s a plant that thrives when spoken to with care. It’s a sunset that paints a new masterpiece every evening, never the same twice.

Each of these moments—ordinary and fleeting—is a window into God’s heart. They remind us of His creativity, faithfulness, and delight in the world He made. Most importantly, they reflect His love for us personally. He designed the world not just for function, but to communicate His presence and care.

Psalm 139 reminds us that God knows us completely. He knows our every thought, hidden fears, joys, and doubts. He has knit us together with intention (Psalm 139:13–16). When we notice the world around us, we are noticing Him—seeing the fingerprints of His love in the small details of creation.

You can start small. The FIFTYTWO weekly archive guides you with a simple rhythm:

  • Notice – Capture what caught your attention: a lyric, a conversation, a fleeting thought—anything that sparked awareness of God.

  • Make It Plain – Plan the week you need and mark it intentionally, bringing God into the rhythm of your everyday life. Track meals, meetings, prayer requests, study time, life admin, or even reminders to rest.

  • Archive – Record where God showed up and what the moment reveals about His love, faithfulness, or creativity. Use a doodle, a quote, a scribbled prayer, or a photo
